It’s fake news to say that Heemeyer easement was taken or lost
Fake news has become a key part of many people’s opinions about Marv Heemeyer’s Killdozer rampage.
I know because I’ve seen it happen three times in the last week.
There I am, selling my book KILLDOZER: The True Story of the Colorado Bulldozer Rampage, and a person tells me the same old fake news story. This well-meaning person tells me that Marvin Heemeyer was wronged by the town of Granby because the town took the easement to his property where he operated his muffler shop. This, ...
Granby eight days after the Killdozer rampage’s 14th anniversary
Here it is, 14 years and eight days after the Killdozer rampage that destroyed or damaged 13 buildings in the town of Granby. And, yes, the town looks different today than it did on the morning of June 4, 2004.
Here’s a re-cap.

Comparing Rampage the film with the KILLDOZER rampage

The rampage in the book is about the massive destruction caused in the town of Granby, Colorado by Marv ...
The cartoon effectiveness of the KILLDOZER
One look at the cartoon from 1973 shown above helps to explain one of the reasons I chose the name KILLDOZER for my book. My book is about the Colorado bulldozer rampage that took place in Granby on June 4, 2004.
In true and classic comic book style, this great cover expands visually on all the aspects of the KILLDOZER name that make it appealing.
First, it is out there and in your face. The name KILLDOZER has that curious appeal to it that all at once plays on the common noun “bulldo...
Did Heemeyer do Granby a favor?
Each of the targets of the rampage went through its own unique processes in rebuilding. Some received fair insurance payouts while others didn’t. For some, the insurance dealings were acceptable, for others they were a nightmare. After rebuilding Granby ended up with new and remodeled buildings it hadn’t had before the rampage. But that came with a cost both financial and emotional.
There are those who think that Heemeyer did Granby a favor through the rampage. People jokingly, and some ...
